Patchwork Atlas Take a little piece of home with you

Privacy policy

What this site collects, which today is almost nothing.

Patchwork Atlas is not open yet. There is no way to buy from this site today, so no payment details, addresses or names have ever been collected through it. Everything below is the policy that applies the moment it opens, written now rather than after the fact.

What we collect

Nothing you type, because there is nowhere on this site to type anything except the search box, and what you search for is never sent to us. Searching runs entirely in your own browser against a file it has already downloaded.

When ordering opens, we will collect the name, delivery address and email address needed to make and send your print, and we will say so here before that happens.

What your browser stores

Two things, both kept on your own device and neither readable by us:

Clearing your browser data removes both. Neither is a cookie sent to a server, and neither identifies you.

Visitor measurement

There is none. This site runs no analytics of any kind: no Google Analytics, no measurement id, no page-view reporting. We cannot tell you how many people visited it, because nothing counts them.

That will probably change before the shop opens, and this section is where it will be described when it does.

Advertising and social tracking

There is none. No Meta pixel, no conversion tracking, no advertising cookie, and no third-party script that watches what you look at. Nothing on this site reports your visit to anyone.

If you leave without paying

If you start checkout, give an email address and then close the tab, the payment processor tells us the attempt expired. We record that, with the address you typed and what was in the basket, so we can ask whether something went wrong.

Two things follow from that, and both are limits rather than promises. An address given at checkout is used to reach you about that order and nothing else: it is not a mailing list, it is not added to one, and nothing you did not ask for will be sent to it. And if you never type an address, there is nothing to record and we have no idea who you were.

Who else handles your order

When ordering opens, prints will be made and posted by a fulfilment partner, who needs your name and delivery address to do it and receives nothing else. A payment processor will handle the card details, which never reach us.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or share personal information. We do not build a profile of you. We do not use your details to advertise to you elsewhere.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires, which is several years, and then deleted. Emails are kept while they are useful to answer.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Today the honest answer to the first question is almost certainly "nothing at all", because the shop has never taken an order.

Contact

Email [email protected] with anything on this page. There is no mailing list to join and no signup form anywhere on this site. If you write to us we keep the message, so we can answer it and so we have the history if you write again.
